Expect the unexpected with a true taste of Turkey!

The Greyhound at Bagby is proudly, family owned and run, with Fettah Alkoc as head chef and Laz Bilgin in charge of front of house.

A Free House, the excellent cellar hosts two permanent cask ales, alongside a frequently changing guest beer, as well as a good range of lagers and ciders. We also offer a good range of specially selected quality wines at reasonable prices, and a great range of spirits.

The pub has the advantage of having a completely separate bar area, away from the main dining room, which also has its own bar. This means that private parties can be completely independent from the front bar, and also means that the front bar is always open for regulars and passers by.

Successfully blending traditional British fare (including superb Sunday roasts!) with authentic Turkish specialities such as Anadollu Tavuc and Ali Nazik, The Greyhound offers something for everyone.
Increasingly popular is our Meze, a delicious selection of seven hot or cold dishes, ideal to share with friends as a starter, or as a light main dish. If you want the true Turkish experience then why not accompany your Meze with a glass of Raki, a fiery aniseed flavoured spirit?

For those on a vegetarian, vegan, gluten free or lactose intolerant diet there are plenty of tasty dishes to choose from.

All our food is freshly cooked to order and our chef is more than happy to 'tweak' a dish to cater for individual tastes. Because our dishes are individually prepared we hope our customers will understand if there is a bit of a wait, especially at busy times.

We feel that good things are worth waiting for and this is especially the case at The Greyhound!
